Guillermo Rojas was born on July 11, 1963 in the city of Heredia, Costa Rica.
When He was twelve years old He began to use drugs.
At the age of fifteen He was one of the main drug pushers in town.
By the time He had reached the age of nineteen, he had been in jail more than fifty times.
One day, while he was walking with his best friend, They happened to notice a certain building in their neighborhood.
They were excited, thinking it was a dance hall. They planned to sell drugs there.
A few days later his friend went back and found out that it was the New Jerusalem Baptist Church.
That same day he entered and accepted Christ as his Savior.
One month later, on December 10, 1982, he took Guillermo to the pastor and he accepted Christ as his personal Savior.
He immediately left the drug scene and began to attend church regularly.
Six months later, he was reading his bible in Romans 6:19 where the apostle Paul says that in the same manner the unsaved use their bodies for sin, as Christians we should yield our bodies for righteousness.
He dedicated his life to God’s service and began to study in a Bible Institute.
After graduating from the institute, Silvia and Guillermo were married.
In 1989, God called him to pastor the New Jerusalem Baptist Church.
It was then that God burdened his heart to establish Baptist Churches in Costa Rica.
